Preparatory Meeting Day 3

Today all of the participating people discussed the final meeting. As scheduled, it will take place in southern Poland, in Poronin (a city south of Cracow). Options for possible days, and list of issues that ought to happen there was discussed.
All of the people agreed that the meeting should start around 24th of June.

Preparatory Meeting Day 2

The second day of our work started off with Coventry sightseeing. But, as none of the participants came to Coventry just for pleasure, right after it we started the work on local workshops framework.
All of the partner organizations had ideas on the structure of local workshops, and different methods that should be applied in order to reach the aim of the project as best as possible. And the aim is, as previously mentioned, to develop an Intercultural Guide for young people becoming adults.
Tasks concerning the work have been divided.

Tuesday, 4th of March - Preparatory Meeting Day 1

We've started!

4th of March was the first official day of the project, with all of the participants arriving from their native countries to Coventry, UK. The aim of the meeting is to discuss all of the details concerning the Youth in Democracy project.

During the first day of the work, participants got to know each other through different methods of ice-breaking games. Then, they focused on work.

Participants discussed the target group of the Guide - that is young people aged from 15 to early 20's.

A draft idea for the publication has been produced, as the end result of the project - Intercultural Youth Democracy Guide - is determining the process of reaching it.

Dear all,

In the forthcoming months, this blog is going to be a place where you will be able to get up-to-date information about the project.

What project, you might ask?

"I'm and Adult - Let me Act' - Intercultural Youth Democracy Guide is an international youth project, funded by the Youth in Action Programme (funding scheme of the European Commission). To be more precise - by the United Kingdom National Agency of Youth in Action (more info - www.connectyouthinternational.com).

The main idea of the project is to activate young people from three countries - United Kingdom, Italy and Poland to explore the issues of active citizenship and democratic participation in their communities, countries as well as on the European level. This will be done through a series of workshops and creative activities, that will allow young people to reflect on their rights and obligations as adult citizens and on the ways of influencing the reality around them in a peaceful and democratic way. After the project, a Youth in Democracy Guide will be created. If you want to know more about it - you have to visit our blog more often!
